Role overview:

Managing a team of Product Designers across 3 product areas, with broader experience spanning multiple domains within Workday’s product portfolio
Mentoring and coaching designers in their careers through regular 1:1s, structured feedback, and active advocacy for progression opportunities
Running weekly design critiques to raise the quality bar, foster a culture of constructive feedback, and maintain high craft standards across the team
Influencing product direction and strategic decisions at VP level, ensuring design has a clear and early voice in roadmap and planning conversations
Leading UX Design hiring end-to-end — from role definition and candidate experience to final decision — while contributing to hiring across Product and Engineering disciplines
Defining and driving AI design strategy across the product portfolio, ensuring UX has a principled point of view in a fast-moving space

Owning roadmap planning and prioritisation in partnership with Product and Engineering, balancing user needs, business goals, and team capacity

Cultivating a collaborative, psychologically safe team culture where designers are empowered to push back, take creative risks, and do their best work
Organising and championing UX community events at the Workday Dublin office, strengthening design culture and cross-functional connection
